Job summary

Anantara Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee daily transportation operations for team members and business needs at our Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure safe, reliable transport, supervise drivers, and manage schedules in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in transportation/fleet management, strong knowledge of UAE traffic rules, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in transportation or fleet management, hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and transport requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor costs, fuel usage, maintenance, and other transport-related expenses; assist with budget.

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Transportation Manager to oversee the daily transportation operations for our team members and business requirements. The role will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services while maintaining high service standards and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Operations

• Manage the day-to-day transportation operations and ensure smooth and timely services.
• Plan and coordinate transportation schedules based on operational requirements.
• Ensure all vehicles are clean, safe, well-maintained, and available as required.
• Monitor vehicle usage, routes, and transportation schedules.
• Coordinate transportation requirements for team members, guests, and business operations when required.

Team & Driver Management

• Supervise and coordinate drivers and transportation team members.
• Prepare duty rosters and allocate drivers based on operational requirements.
• Monitor driver attendance, performance, conduct, and compliance with company policies.
• Provide guidance and support to drivers and address operational issues promptly.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with UAE traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Monitor vehicle registration, insurance, licences, permits, and other required documents.
• Ensure regular vehicle inspections and servicing are completed on time.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and transportation-related concerns.

Cost & Administration

• Monitor transportation costs, fuel usage, maintenance expenses, and other related costs.
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the transportation budget.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, inspections, and driver documentation.
• Coordinate with Finance, P&C, Engineering, and other departments on transportation-related matters.

Team Member Transportation

• Ensure reliable transportation for team members between accommodation and workplace.
• Monitor transportation feedback and take appropriate action to improve the service.
• Address transportation concerns and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Qualification And Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transportation or fleet management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and transportation requirements.
• Experience managing drivers, vehicle fleets, schedules, and transportation operations.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety, and operational standards.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work flexible hours and manage transportation requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid UAE driving licence will be an advantage.
