Job summary

Minor Hotels is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager for our Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee daily transportation operations for team members and guests, ensuring safe, reliable and cost-efficient services while maintaining high service standards and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities include managing drivers and the fleet, planning schedules, monitoring performance, and coordinating with Finance and other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transportation or fleet management.
• Good knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and transportation requirements.
• Experience managing drivers, vehicle fleets, schedules, and transportation operations.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety, and operational standards.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work flexible hours and manage transportation requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid UAE driving licence will be an advantage.

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations to ensure smooth and timely services for team members and guests.
• Plan and coordinate transportation schedules based on operational requirements.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, safe, well-maintained, and available as required.
• Monitor vehicle usage, routes, and transportation schedules.
• Coordinate transportation requirements for team members, guests, and business operations when required.
• Supervise and coordinate drivers and transportation team members.
• Prepare duty rosters and allocate drivers based on operational needs.
• Monitor driver attendance, performance, conduct, and compliance with company policies.
• Provide guidance and support to drivers and address operational issues promptly.
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with UAE traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Monitor vehicle registration, insurance, licences, permits, and other required documents.
• Ensure regular vehicle inspections and servicing are completed on time.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and transportation-related concerns.
• Monitor transportation costs, fuel usage, maintenance expenses, and other related costs.
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the transportation budget.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, inspections, and driver documentation.
• Coordinate with Finance, P&C, Engineering, and other departments on transportation-related matters.
• Ensure reliable transportation for team members between accommodation and workplace.
• Monitor transportation feedback and take appropriate action to improve the service.
• Address transportation concerns and ensure issues are resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Operations
