Job summary

Talents UAE is seeking a Training Manager to shape the Visitor Experience team for Abu Dhabi's upcoming cultural landmark. The role focuses on onboarding, ongoing development, and scalable training across Front of House operations, with emphasis on customer service and engagement.

The successful candidate will design onboarding experiences, coordinate training with artists and curators, and lead two Training Officers while maintaining a digital learning ecosystem and measurable progress reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience training Visitor Experience teams, guides, or facilitators.
• Experience in museums, contemporary art, or cultural institutions preferred.
• Proven ability to manage large onboarding and training programmes.
• Strong planning to coordinate multiple programmes, priorities and stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex content into clear, engaging learning.

Training Manager – Shape the Visitor Experience Team of Abu Dhabi’s Next Cultural Landmark

A major new cultural destination is taking shape in Abu Dhabi, and we are looking for an experienced Training Manager to prepare, inspire, and continuously develop its Visitor Experience team.

This is a significant learning and development role involving the onboarding and training of a large Front of House workforce. The successful candidate will create an onboarding experience that motivates new joiners, sparks their curiosity, and prepares them to approach their roles with knowledge, confidence, and enthusiasm.

The Training Manager will plan, deliver, and oversee training across multiple areas of Visitor Experience operations, including customer service, presentation and facilitation skills, operational procedures, content knowledge, accessibility, and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy for the Visitor Experience team


• Plan and deliver the onboarding of all new joiners, ensuring they feel welcomed, motivated, and fully prepared for their roles


• Coordinate the induction and training of a large Front of House team


• Design engaging learning experiences that make extensive or complex content clear, accessible, and easy to remember


• Develop and coordinate training in customer service, presentation skills, facilitation, content knowledge, operational procedures, and visitor engagement


• Plan learning sessions and knowledge-sharing opportunities with artists, curators, cultural professionals, and other subject-matter experts


• Manage employees’ weekly training allocation, ensuring this time is carefully planned and used effectively


• Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly training schedules aligned with operational priorities


• Line-manage, guide, and develop two Training Officers


• Manage the learning platform and ensure all required training materials and resources are organised, up to date, and easily accessible


• Enable employees to revisit training materials and continue learning online at their own pace when required


• Develop training manuals, facilitator guides, presentations, assessments, and digital learning resources


• Monitor participation, learning progress, competency, and training effectiveness


• Maintain accurate training records and provide regular progress reports


• Identify skills and knowledge gaps and introduce targeted development and refresher programmes


• Work closely with Visitor Experience, Operations, Curatorial, Learning, and other relevant teams


• Embed a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, genuine guest engagement, and service excellence

We Are Looking for Someone Who Has

• A minimum of five years’ experience training Visitor Experience teams, guides, or facilitators


• Experience within a museum, contemporary art organisation, or other cultural institution is strongly preferred


• Proven experience managing large-scale onboarding and training programmes


• Excellent planning skills and the ability to coordinate multiple training programmes, priorities, and stakeholders


• Experience managing or supervising training professionals


• The ability to transform complex or content-heavy information into clear, memorable, and engaging learning experiences


• Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills


• Experience managing learning platforms and developing digital and classroom-based training resources


• Confidence working with artists, curators, subject-matter experts, and operational teams


• A genuine passion for art, culture, learning, storytelling, and audience engagement


• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills would be an advantage
