Job summary

Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Midwifery/Nursing Leader to guide the midwifery and nursing team, ensuring patient-centric, evidence-based care and driving operational efficiency.

You will lead obstetric emergency preparedness, manage capacity and staffing, and uphold UAE regulatory standards while delivering excellent patient experiences across the unit.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery.
• Desired: Master of Science in Midwifery/Nursing or related Healthcare field.
• Essential: At least 3-5 years’ senior midwifery experience, preferably in a private hospital.
• Desired: 5-10 years senior midwifery experience, including experience managing a high-volume Labour and Delivery service.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team.
• Ensure evidence based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards.
• Develop employees and create an environment that enables team engagement.
• Manage allocated clinical and non-clinical resources in a cost efficient and effective manner to enhance safe patient care.
• Monitor and manage compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Lead obstetric emergency preparedness and response across the unit, ensuring the team is drilled, competent and ready to manage clinical emergencies at any time.
• Plan and manage capacity, staffing and patient flow proactively in response to growing unit activity, escalating and adapting resourcing as demand changes.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To lead and manage the midwifery/nursing team in the provision of patient-centric and evidence based nursing care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences
