Job summary

Mediclinic Middle East is seeking a qualified Midwife to provide patient-centred and evidence-based care at our Abu Dhabi facility. The role focuses on antenatal to postpartum care, working with a multidisciplinary team to uphold clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor learners, ensure accurate nursing documentation, and contribute to a learning environment while efficiently managing stock and equipment in line with Mediclinic guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing with midwifery focus.
• Valid BLS and NRP certifications.
• Minimum two years of midwifery experience in the applicant's country.

Responsibilities

• Deliver antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for women and neonates with a multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety in line with policies.
• Create a positive patient and family experience under nursing leadership guidance.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of nursing interventions per standards and legal requirements.
• Supervise, mentor, and coach learners and nursing staff to build competence.
• Utilise stock and equipment efficiently following Mediclinic guidelines.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide and coordinate patient-centric and evidence based midwifery care by ensuring compliance to ethical and professional standards set by regulatory authorities and the company

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To deliver quality care to antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum women and neonates in collaboration with the multi professional team according to set clinical standards and relevant legislation

Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing risks in accordance with clinical risk policies, procedures and relevant legislation

To facilitate positive patient and family experiences by creating a conducive environment as guided by nursing leadership

To provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions according to company standard and legal requirements

To create and contribute to a learning environment that builds employee competence by actively supervising, mentoring and coaching learners and nursing employees

To utilise all required stock and equipment efficiently, according to Mediclinic guidelines

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Relevant Bachelors degree

valid BLS and NRP certification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least two years in own country
