Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in oil terminal or tank farm operations.
• Hands-on exposure to receipt, storage, loading/unloading and transfer of petroleum products.
• Familiarity with product transfers through pipelines, marine tankers and road tankers.
• Good command of English to read and understand technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of HSE and emergency response procedures in industrial environments.
• Physically fit for lifting, climbing and outdoor work.
• Willingness to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Flexible to work shifts and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day petroleum terminal operations including receipt, storage, blending and transfer.
• Support loading/unloading operations involving pipelines, marine tankers and road tankers.
• Handle various petroleum products like gasoline, gasoil, diesel, naphtha and fuel oil.
• Monitor operations and ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures.
• Perform field activities related to tanks, pipelines and transfer systems.
• Follow operating manuals and site safety requirements.
• Work safely in confined spaces, at heights and around petroleum products.
• Act as a first responder during emergencies, including fires or spills.
• Collaborate with the operations team and rotate shifts/on-call as needed.

Job Summary:

Terminal Operations Assistant will support the safe and efficient operation of a live petroleum storage terminal. The role involves the receipt, storage, blending, handling and transfer of petroleum products and certain chemicals through pipelines, ocean-going tankers and road tankers.

This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring experience in oil terminal operations, strong safety awareness and the ability to work in challenging industrial environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out day-to-day petroleum terminal operations, including product receipt, storage, blending and transfer.
• Support loading and unloading operations involving pipelines, marine/oil tankers and road tankers.
• Handle various petroleum products including gasoline, gasoil, diesel, naphtha, fuel oil and petroleum additives.
• Monitor operational activities and ensure compliance with established safety and operating procedures.
• Perform field activities associated with tanks, pipelines and product-transfer systems.
• Follow technical operating manuals, procedures and site safety requirements.
• Work safely in confined spaces, at heights, near or above water, and in outdoor environments.
• Act as a first responder during emergencies, including fires, spills or other terminal incidents.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating effectively with a diverse operations team.
• Participate in shift/on-call rotations when required.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in oil terminal, petroleum storage, tank farm or similar operations.
• Hands-on exposure to petroleum product receipt, storage, loading/unloading and transfer operations.
• Familiarity with product transfers through pipelines, marine tankers and/or road tankers.
• Good command of English, with the ability to read and understand technical and operational manuals.
• Strong understanding of HSE and emergency response procedures within petroleum or industrial environments.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting equipment, climbing, bending, kneeling and walking across industrial sites.
• Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces and around petroleum products.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Flexible to work shifts and participate in on-call duties when required.
