Job summary

Transguard Workforce Solutions in the UAE seeks a Terminal Operations Assistant for a live petroleum storage terminal in Fujairah. The role covers receipt, storage, blending, handling and transfer of products via pipelines, tankers and road tankers, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficient operations.

The position is hands-on and field-based, requiring experience in oil terminal operations, and involves coordinating with a diverse team, following safety procedures, and supporting on-call

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in oil terminal or tank farm operations.
• Hands-on exposure to receipt, storage, loading/unloading and transfer of petroleum products.
• Familiarity with product transfers through pipelines, marine tankers and road tankers.
• Good command of English to read and understand technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of HSE and emergency response procedures in industrial environments.
• Physically fit for lifting, climbing and outdoor work.
• Willingness to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Flexible to work shifts and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day petroleum terminal operations including receipt, storage, blending and transfer.
• Support loading/unloading operations involving pipelines, marine tankers and road tankers.
• Handle various petroleum products like gasoline, gasoil, diesel, naphtha and fuel oil.
• Monitor operations and ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures.
• Perform field activities related to tanks, pipelines and transfer systems.
• Follow operating manuals and site safety requirements.
• Work safely in confined spaces, at heights and around petroleum products.
• Act as a first responder during emergencies, including fires or spills.
• Collaborate with the operations team and rotate shifts/on-call as needed.
