Job summary

ADIB Group is seeking a Teller for its Dubai branch. You will deliver accurate teller services including deposits, withdrawals, drafts, transfers, and cheque processing while upholding the bank's professional image.

The role requires familiarity with UAE banking practices, adherence to regulatory requirements, and proactive cross-selling of ADIB products. You will support cash reconciliation, end-of-day balancing, and vault controls as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and risks.
• Familiarity with ADIB's retail banking products and services.
• Understanding of centralized banking operations and service standards.
• Awareness of cross selling opportunities within bank services.

Responsibilities

• Handle teller counter transactions including deposits, withdrawals, drafts, transfers, and cheque processing in line with policies.
• Coordinate with Treasury for favorable rates on telegraphic transfers for VIP or high net worth clients.
• Serve Private Banking customers at dedicated counters when required and handle other counter services as needed.
• Identify and refer product inquiries to Sales staff.
• Assist with cash reconciliation, end-of-day balancing, and vault/dependency controls.

Role : Teller

Location : Dubai/ Branch -Al Barsha

Role Purpose:

Delivering quality teller service to customers via accurate and efficient processing while projecting ADIBs professional image in all interpersonal dealings.

Key Accountabilities of the role

These are the main responsibilities of this role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• of all teller counter service transactions such as cash deposits & cash withdrawals and other transactions such as drafts telegraphic-transfers payment orders standing orders foreign currency purchase & sales cheque deposits etc. in line with operational policies & procedures
• Where centralized telegraphic transfers are involved liaise with Treasury department to obtain best rates for VIP & or high net worth customers in coordination with HOPs.
• These responsibilities may also include serving Private Banking customers at separate counters and also processing any other counter service transaction introduced by ADIB from time to time.
• sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.
• reconciliation & control activities :
• Act as the one of dual custodian for branch vault cash and security stationery
• Assist HOP as the second custodian for dual control.
• Cash reconciliation & balancing
• End of day balancing
• General filing
• proper understanding and processing for all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects.
