Job summary

Atlantis The Royal, part of Kerzner International, seeks an experienced facilities maintenance technician to inspect and service all building systems. The role covers electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and safety systems across a ultra-luxury resort on the Palm, reporting to supervisors and ensuring high standards of safety and reliability.

With 6+ years in facilities maintenance and the ability to work with minimal supervision, you will uphold preventive maintenance programs, mentor junior staff,

Qualifications

• 6+ years in facilities maintenance, with a trade school or upper education.
• Capability to operate across Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and safety systems.
• Experience following CBM and preventive maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on facilities structures and equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and work with minimal supervision.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and report issues to supervision.
• Assist and train team members as required.

Job is to inspect, perform work and preventative maintenance in all aspects and general maintenance of facilities structures and equipment.

About The Role

• Ability to complete assigned task with no supervision. Worked in a specific facilities maintenance trade for at least 6 years and attended a trade school or upper education.
• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others

About You

• Knowledge about ETS Room / District cooling operations / Chilled water System.
• Maintenance of HVAC Units ( AHU/ FAHU/ FCU/ Ventilation fans)
• Performs PPM tasks and re-building valves, brazing, fabrications, replacing worn parts and accomplishing other major repairs
• Knowledge BMS system operations
• Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems of the hotel - freezer, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, chiller, etc.
• Operation and Maintenance of basic electrical systems and controls
