Job summary

Atlantis Resorts in Dubai is seeking an experienced facilities maintenance specialist to inspect, perform work and preventive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, kitchen and related systems.

You will carry out CBMs, follow safety guidelines, read wiring diagrams, supervise shift coverage, and train others, maintaining a large inventory of kitchen equipment in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in a facilities maintenance trade and attendance at trade school or higher education.
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Familiarity with layout of building and ability to work during emergencies.
• Capable of CBMs and preventive maintenance per manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen and related equipment including gas / electrical components.
• Repair walk-in freezers, steam cookers, refrigerators, dishwashers and water coolers.
• Install new equipment, fix leaks, adjust wiring/controls and replace worn parts.
• Read wiring diagrams and follow operation manuals; train others as needed.

Job is to inspect, perform work and preventative maintenance in all aspects and general maintenance of facilities structures and equipment.

About The Role

• Ability to complete assigned task with no supervision. Worked in a specific facilities maintenance trade for at least 6 years and attended a trade school or upper education.
• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others

About You

• Responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances. Including piping, gas controls, air to gas mixture, etc.
• Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of kitchen and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, washers, ovens, dryers, dishwashers, and water coolers.
• Carry out installation of new equipment; perform repairs on leaks; ensure settings o wiring controls; change equipment parts that have become old or defective
• Knowledge of how various types of kitchen and refrigeration equipment work
• Experience in soldering and blazing skills for refrigeration maintenance works / installation of compressor
• Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, and to follow manuals on operation and Maintenance.
