You are a detail-oriented and safety-conscious laboratory professional who enjoys supporting scientific research product development and technical innovation in the waterborne coatings industry In this role you will provide technical support to scientists engineers and technology leaders by assisting with laboratory experiments waterborne paint formulation and development activities performance evaluation and research projects You will perform routine laboratory operations prepare waterborne paint samples and you will support the full development cycle of waterborne coating You will conduct key tests and characterizations relevant to waterborne systems Success in this role requires strong organizational skills adherence to safety standards attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment This position offers an opportunity to contribute to research product commercialization process improvement and technical service initiatives while developing hands‑on laboratory experience in a dynamic scientific environment
Support chemists scientists and engineers in laboratory activities related to product development application development technical service and research projects Perform laboratory testing sample preparation equipment setup and experimental procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and safety guidelines Execute laboratory work requests operate testing equipment and accurately document experimental observations test results and technical data Maintain calibrate troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure reliable operation Manage laboratory inventories including chemicals consumables samples and supplies while coordinating replenishment activities as needed Follow proper waste handling disposal procedures and environmental health and safety requirements during laboratory operations Communicate technical issues equipment concerns and test results promptly to Technology Leaders scientists and project teams Participate in safety meetings process improvement initiatives problem‑solving activities and continuous improvement programs within the laboratory environment
Associate degree in a Science‑related discipline with laboratory or technical experience OR High School Diploma GED with a minimum of one 1 year of relevant laboratory manufacturing or technical work experience Post‑secondary education including science‑related coursework and applicable work experience Basic understanding of laboratory procedures scientific methods and technical documentation Ability to follow standard operating procedures SOPs and established work processes Experience working safely with laboratory equipment chemicals and testing procedures
