Job summary

Dow UAE is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory professional to support scientists and engineers in R&D, product development, and technical service for waterborne coatings. You will conduct tests, prepare samples, and document results within SOPs, contributing to safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety guidelines, and hands-on lab experience, with opportunities to advance through process improvements and development projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Science-related discipline with laboratory or technical experience or High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of relevant laboratory, manufacturing, or technical work experience.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, scientific methods, and technical documentation.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established work processes.

Responsibilities

• Support chemists, scientists, and engineers in laboratory activities related to product development, application development, technical service, and research projects.
• Perform laboratory testing, sample preparation, equipment setup, and experimental procedures in accordance with SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Execute laboratory work requests, operate testing equipment, and document observations, test results, and data.
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Manage laboratory inventories and coordinate replenishment.
• Follow waste handling and safety requirements during operations.
• Communicate technical issues and results to Technology Leaders and teams.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement programs.
