Job summary

Flip retail in Dubai is seeking a Lab Chemist (Drilling Chemicals) to conduct R&D tasks across drilling fluids, including rheology modifiers, emulsifiers, wetting agents, biocides, defoamers, lubricants and corrosion inhibitors. Responsibilities include QA/QC of raw materials and finished products (both solid and fluid) and calibration of lab equipment.

You will work in the research laboratory, sometimes independently and other times as part of a team, and you will be expected to generate

Job description

Lab Chemist (Drilling Chemicals)

• 1. Accountable to preform R&D tasks in products group such as Drilling fluids - Rheology Modifiers, Emulsifier, Wetting representative, Biocides, Defoamers, Lubricants, Corrosion preventions, Shale Stabilizers, Boring slimmers, and so on,
• 2. Sealing additives - Concrete retarders, Liquid loss ingredients, Concrete Dispersants, Anti-Gas movement, Concrete Accelerators, Cement Extenders, Spacers & purges, and so on,
• 3. Work over & Completion liquids - Calcium Bromide Powder/ Zinc Bromide, Calcium Bromide Liquid, Sodium Formate/ Potassium Formate, Salt Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, etc,
• 4. Stimulation chemicals - Gelling agents for water, Gelling agents for acid, Visco-Elastic surfactant, Friction reducers, Crosslinkers, Biocides, Acid Rust prevention, Non-emulsifier/Surfactants, Iron control, Buffers, Clay stabilizers, Acid drawing away representatives, Breakers, Scale inhibitors, H2S scavengers, Anti-sludge additive, Deterioration inhibitor intensifier.
• 5. Production as well as treatment chemicals - Range inhibitors, Gear cleaning surfactants, Lubes, and so on,
• 6. QA/QC of raw materials as well as products (both Solid & Fluid).
• 7. Able to mix mud systems (OBM & WBM).
• 8. Able to mix and prepare services in various focus as per examination nature.
• 9. Able to execute Chemical and also physical screening of Mud Equipment (OBM & WBM).
• 10. Responsible for use of adhering to equipment for the everyday procedure and also be responsible for calibration as well:
• 11. Heat High Stress (HTHP), OFITE as well as FANN Viscometers, Brookfield viscometer, Lubricity Testers, API Filter press, Funnel Thickness, Electrical Stability, pH meter, Conductivity Meters, Wetness balance, Centrifuges, FT-IR, aging cell, etc,
• 12. Works separately in the research laboratory sometimes, although generally under general guidance and also functions within a group to complete projects.
• 13. Able to create in-depth Technical Service Reports of examination searchings for and recording it.
• 14. Analysis of raw products from distributor & client both water Base and Oil Base mud.
• 15. Furthermore, maintaining the ISO documents as well as QMS application in research laboratory.
• 16. Prep work of the research laboratory examination reports, R&D Technical task records.
• 17. Able to prepare technical files such as SDS, PDS, COA, Profile, Case research studies of items.
