Job summary

The Dow Chemical Company is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory professional to support waterborne coatings research and development in a safety‑conscious environment. You will assist scientists, perform tests, prepare samples and contribute to the full development cycle of waterborne coatings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science with lab experience OR HS diploma with 1 year relevant lab/tech experience.
• Post-secondary science coursework and applicable work experience.
• Ability to follow SOPs and established work processes.
• Experience working safely with lab equipment, chemicals, and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support chemists, scientists and engineers in lab activities related to product development and research projects.
• Perform laboratory testing, sample preparation, equipment setup and procedures per SOPs.
• Maintain calibration, troubleshooting and routine maintenance on lab instruments and equipment.
• Manage lab inventories and ensure proper waste handling and safety compliance.
