Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lead Engineer-Technical Safety to lead and coordinate safety analyses and workshops for complex projects. You will facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA, Bow-Tie, SIMOPS and other safety reviews across disciplines.

You will review third-party safety studies, identify hazards, develop risk reduction measures, ensure closure of actions, and perform QRA, FER A, EERA, and fire/explosion protection studies while shaping safety philosophies and design criteria.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA, Bow-Tie Analysis, SIMOPS, PHSER, Constructability Reviews, and other safety workshops.
• Review and validate third-party safety study reports and recommendations.
• Identify hazards and develop risk reduction measures.
• Ensure closure and tracking of workshop actions and recommendations.
• Manage and perform: Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) Fire and Explosion Risk Assessments (FERA) Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA) Fire Protection and Explosion Protection Studies ESD/PSD System Reviews Cause & Effect Reviews.
• Develop safety philosophies and safety design criteria.
