Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Technical Recruiter based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to lead talent acquisition for the oil and gas sector. The role reports to the SME Talent Acquisition Head and focuses on building pipelines, screening candidates, and managing offers and onboarding across the Southern Middle East Region.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 5 years in technical recruitment, with experience in oil & gas, and are willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive recruitment experience in technical talent acquisition.
• Experience with oil & gas and energy sectors is highly desirable.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Resume sourcing: collaborate with product line managers to understand needs and source candidates from diverse resources.
• Talent pipeline: build and maintain candidate pipelines across Southern Middle Region.
• Candidate screening: conduct initial HR screenings and assess technical competencies.
• Offer preparation: generate offers and process onboarding documentation.
• Talent reports: keep recruitment data up to date in HRIS for reporting.
• Documentation & compliance: gather documents and ensure policy and local law compliance; suggest process improvements.

Were seeking a Technical Recruiter to join our team, specializing in talent acquisition for the oil and gas sector. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and supporting the Southern Middle East Region.

The job incumbent will be reporting to SME Talent Acquisition Head and will be solely accountable for

1. Resume Sourcing: Collaborate with the product line managers to understand workforce needs, project timelines, and role specifications and source the most suitable candidates from diverse resources such as job boards, industry networks, LinkedIn and referrals.
2. Talent Pipeline: Build the most suitable candidate talent pipeline on a continuous basis to meet the current and future talent needs of the countries in the Southern Middle Region and support SME offices as required.
3. Candidate Screening and qualification assessment: conduct initial HR screenings to verify qualifications and fitness, collect and organize candidate documentation, assess technical competencies for accurate mapping.
4. Offer Preparation: Generate offers to the selected candidates post interview with the product line managers/clients, ensure timely offer acceptance and process the pre and post onboarding of new hire documentation and be accountable for transition.
5. Talent Reports: Ensure all talent data are up to date in Recruitment HRIS module for accurate reporting at country and regional level.
6. Employment Documentation, Regional Compliance and Process Optimization: Timely gather all documentation required to process the employment for all new hires, ensure completeness and compliance with BV internal policies and procedures and with the operating country employment laws. Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and overall candidate satisfaction scores.

Education

Bachelor’s degree. Preferred is bachelor’s degree in engineering - Mechanical

Experience

1. Minimum 5 years of progressive recruitment experience, with expertise in technical talent acquisition, preferably within the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
2. Sourced the most suitable candidates with inspection experience for diverse disciplines through Job Boards, LinkedIn, Head hunting and other resources.
3. Experienced in bulk recruitment of inspection related positions across the Middle East Region
4. Prior experience in managing a large recruitment drive is highly preferred. Domestic and International travel as per business needs is involved.
