Job summary

Cambium Learning Group is seeking a technical data analyst/production support professional to triage backend issues, conduct RCAs, and write SQL queries on SQL Server. You will validate data across systems for project deliverables and oversee deployments with Jira-driven backlogs and sprints.

The role requires a 2+ year track record, strong Excel skills, and experience interpreting logs for debugging, with a focus on data-driven insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer/technical field.
• 2+ years in technical data analysis or product support.
• Hands-on SQL Server and scripting experience.
• Advanced MS Excel with pivot tables.
• Knowledge of backend systems and data flows.
• Experience reviewing logs for debugging.

Responsibilities

• Triage complex technical issues across backend systems and services
• Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) on production anomalies and compile technical reports
• Write and execute custom SQL queries on SQL Server databases
• Conduct cross-system data validation for project deliverables
• Oversee system deployments and operational maintenance windows
• Drive management tracking and execution in Jira, managing backlogs and sprints
• Translate technical findings into actionable insights for leadership
• Author configuration control documents and maintain architectural versioning
• Map technical processes to build structural runbooks and documentation
• Optimize Confluence knowledge bases

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in technical data analysis, product support, or technical project coordination
• Hands-on proficiency with SQL Server and writing scripts from scratch
• Deep familiarity with advanced MS Excel functions and pivot tables
• Solid understanding of back-end systems and automated data flows
• Familiarity with reviewing server and application logs for debugging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Exposure to incident management or production support environments
• Experience with root cause analysis and debugging
• Prior experience in site reliability or production troubleshooting teams
