Responsibilities

• Lead technical design coordination and submissions for fit-out works.
• Review architectural, ID, MEP, and specialist drawings for construct-ability.
• Oversee shop drawings, submittals, samples, and prototypes with timely approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Provide site technical support and resolve RFIs and technical issues.
• Ensure as-built docs and O&M manuals are complete for handover.

Job description

The Technical Manager – Fit-Out

is responsible for technical leadership, design coordination, and of interior fit-out projects, ensuring all drawings, specifications, materials, and details are coordinated, compliant, and build-able within project constraints.

Design & Technical Management

Manage and coordinate shop drawings, design development, and technical submissions for fit?out works. Review architectural, ID, MEP, and specialist drawings to ensure coordination and construct-ability. Ensure compliance with contract requirements, authority regulations, codes, and consultant standards. Lead design coordination meetings and resolve technical clashes.

Shop Drawings & Submittals

Oversee preparation and review of shop drawings, material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and prototypes. Ensure timely approvals in line with project schedules. Coordinate with planning and procurement teams to avoid technical delays. Propose value engineering solutions without compromising design intent or quality. Identify construction risks early and recommend mitigation measures. Optimize details for cost, time, and quality efficiency.

Authority & Consultant Coordination

Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities for technical approvals. Ensure all technical documents comply with local authority and fire/life safety requirements. Support authority inspections where technical input is required.

Site Technical Support

Provide technical guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Resolve site technical issues, RFIs, and discrepancies. Support quality control during execution and inspections.

Handover & Close-Out

Ensure technical documentation is complete for as-built drawings and O&M manuals. Support project handover and DLP technical issues.
