Job summary

Juma Al Majid Holding Group L.L.C is seeking a Technical Engineer Fit-Out to coordinate technical drawings and submissions for interior fit-out projects across UAE. You will ensure buildable, approved drawings flow to site teams for smooth execution.

The role requires a design/engineering background with extensive UAE experience in hospitality, retail, and office fit-outs, and a proven track record in fast-track projects. Strong coordination with consultants and on-site teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering, architecture, interior design, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in interior fit-out coordination in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience with commercial hospitality, retail, residential, and office fit-out projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review shop drawings, coordination drawings, and detailed fit-out layouts.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design specifications and authority requirements.
• Prepare and submit material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and technical data sheets.
• Track approvals and comments, ensuring timely resubmissions.
• Coordinate with architectural, interior design, MEP, and subcontractors to resolve clashes.
• Raise and close RFIs with consultants and site teams.
• Provide technical clarification to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Assist in resolving site technical issues and ensure correct on-site implementation of approved drawings.
• Support QA/QC during inspections and approvals, and assist in preparing as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
• Maintain updated drawing registers, submittal logs, and revision controls; align technical approvals with schedule.

Job description

The Technical Engineer Fit-Out is responsible for preparing reviewing and coordinating technical drawings and submissions for interior fit-out works ensuring all details are accurate coordinated approved and buildable to support smooth site execution.

Shop Drawings & Technical Submissions

• Prepare and review shop drawings coordination drawings and detailed fit-out layouts.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design specifications and authority requirements.
• Prepare and submit material submittal samples mock-ups and technical data sheets.
• Track approvals and comments ensuring timely resubmissions.

Design Coordination

• Coordinate with architectural interior design MEP and specialist subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve technical clashes and discrepancies before construction.
• Raise and close RFIs in coordination with consultants and site teams.

Site Technical Support

• Provide technical clarification to site engineers supervisors and subcontractors.
• Assist in resolving site technical issues and construction challenges.
• Ensure correct implementation of approved drawings and details on site.

Compliance & Quality Support

• Ensure works comply with project specifications codes and quality standards.
• Support QA/QC team during inspections and approvals.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain updated drawing registers submittal logs and revision controls.
• Coordinate with planning and procurement teams to align technical approvals with schedule

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering Architecture Interior Design or related discipline.
• Minimum 58 years of experience in technical coordination for interior fit-out projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience with commercial hospitality retail residential and office fit-out projects.
