Job summary

albena alqawi is seeking an experienced Technical Engineer (Civil or Architectural) to join our construction team in the UAE. You will prepare and review shop drawings, construction drawings, and support technical submissions on site.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Architecture with at least 5 years in construction, UAE experience preferred, and strong AutoCAD and drawing coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 5+ years of relevant construction experience.
• UAE construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and technical drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review shop drawings, detailed drawings, and construction drawings.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to identify technical requirements and discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review and coordinate Civil and Architectural works with MEP and structural drawings.
• Ensure drawings and submissions comply with project specs and authority requirements.
• Provide technical support to the site team and assist in resolving construction issues.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain documentation.
• Conduct site visits to verify drawings and proper execution.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and technical measurements.
