Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Civil Engineer to support roads and infrastructure projects. You will prepare and review submittals, shop drawings, method statements and ITPs, and coordinate approvals with consultants and clients.

You will track submittal status, provide technical support on site, review drawings and specs, and assist with RFI/NCR processes. Strong command of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, UAE standards, and English are required; Arabic is a plus.

Job description

• Prepare and review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements and ITPs.

• Coordinate with consultants and clients to obtain technical approvals.

• Track submittal status and ensure timely responses and close-out.

• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve technical queries.

• Review and interpret drawings, specifications and project requirements.

• Prepare technical reports, presentations and project documentation.

• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with approved specifications.

• Assist with RFI, NCR and technical clarification processes.

• Attend project meetings and provide technical input and updates.

• Coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, contractors and internal project teams.

• Maintain and control project documentation, including drawings, specifications, correspondence, method statements and material submittals.

• Maintain comprehensive document registers and ensure proper distribution, filing and archiving.

• Support quantity measurement and quantity surveying activities as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• 2+ years of relevant experience in roads and infrastructure projects in the U.A.E.

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and road/infrastructure construction.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

• Good understanding of UAE. construction standards and regulations.

• Experience with technical submittals, approvals and project documentation.

• Strong communication, coordination and organisational skills.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Arabic language skills will be an advantage.

• Experience with FIDIC contract administration is an advantage.
