Job summary

Fisher Human Resource Consultancy seeks a qualified Civil Engineer to oversee civil and architectural construction activities for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence in line with UAE regulations and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience in civil and architectural construction, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with relevant field experience.
• Minimum 5 years in civil and architectural construction projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience with residential, commercial, and high-rise builds.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and project scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities for civil and architectural works.
• Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, schedules, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress and prepare regular progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections for QA/QC and HSE compliance.
• Manage material inspections, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Track labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity.
• Assist in planning, cost control, and scheduling activities.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee and manage civil and architectural construction activities for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with UAE regulations, project specifications, and quality standards.

• Supervise daily site activities related to civil and architectural works.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, project schedules, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Manage material inspections, shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Monitor labor, equipment, and material utilization to optimize productivity.
• Assist in project planning, cost control, and scheduling.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, finishing works, structural and architectural drawings

• Abu Dhabi Municipality/DMT Engineer Registration (advantage)

• Knowledge of BIM and construction management software (advantage)
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
