Job summary

Transguard Workforce Solutions is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist for their Abu Dhabi office. The role focuses on creating, organizing and maintaining technical documents that explain products, systems, and processes clearly and professionally.

Key tasks include developing manuals, SOPs, installation and maintenance docs, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring regulatory compliance and document control.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with document management systems (DMS).
• Ability to understand engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of ISO documentation standards and quality systems.
• Strong attention to detail and document control practices.

Responsibilities

• Documentation development: manuals, operation & maintenance procedures, user guides, SOPs, and reports.
• Develop installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning documentation.
• Create equipment specifications and product documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, PMs and subject matter experts.
• Collect technical data, drawings, specifications and test results.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of technical information.
• Maintain document revision history and version control.
• Ensure documents comply with company standards and client requirements.
• Manage document repositories and distribution systems.
• Technical editing and quality assurance of documents.
• Review documents for technical accuracy, grammar, consistency, and formatting.
• Standardize terminology and document structure.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Create workflow diagrams and process maps.
• Document safety and quality management processes.
• Prepare project reports, method statements, submittals and as-built documentation.
• Support project handover documentation.
• Compile O&M manuals.
