Job summary

Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior Design Engineer/Lead to manage end-to-end technical design for fit-out projects. You will guide the creation of detailed drawings, specifications and BOQs, while collaborating with architects, interior designers, and other consultants to translate design concepts into constructible solutions.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive CAD experience (AutoCAD, Revit), and a deep understanding of building services and regulatory standards.

Job description

Lead and manage the end-to-end technical design process for fit-out projects ensuring alignment with client briefs and project objectives Oversee the development of detailed technical drawings specifications and Bill of Quantities BOQs for all fit-out elements Collaborate closely with architects interior designers and other consultants to translate design concepts into constructible solutions Conduct rigorous technical reviews of design proposals identifying potential challenges and recommending optimized solutions Manage and mentor a team of design engineers and technicians fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes regulations safety standards and client-specific requirements Develop and manage the design budget tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of design documentation and materials Resolve complex technical issues that arise during the design and construction phases providing clear and actionable solutions Maintain comprehensive documentation of all design decisions changes and approvals throughout the project lifecycle

• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex fit-out projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and design management tools.
• Strong understanding of building services, materials, construction methodologies, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide design professionals.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are an advantage.
