Azizi Developments is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the technical, engineering, and design coordination activities for fit-out projects. You will ensure that shop drawings, materials, and construction details align with project specs, authority requirements, and schedules.

You will review drawings, resolve site issues, coordinate with consultants and clients, and guide a team of engineers and coordinators to deliver buildable, cost-effective solutions across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Requires extensive technical leadership experience in fit-out projects.
• Must be able to review and manage shop drawings, GFC, and as-built drawings.
• Strong coordination with design consultants, clients, and site teams for technical alignment.
• Experience ensuring ISO 9001 quality compliance and project specification adherence.

• Lead the technical department for fit-out projects (commercial, residential, retail, interior joinery).
• Review, approve, and manage shop drawings, GFC drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with design consultants, clients, and site teams to ensure technical alignment.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and Site Engineers.
• Oversee technical submittals, RFIs, and variation requests.
• Lead and mentor engineers, draftsmen, and technical coordinators.
• Ensure all technical deliverables comply with ISO 9001 and project specs.

Role Description: To lead and manage all technical, engineering, and design coordination activities for fit-out projects, ensuring that shop drawings, materials, and construction details are compliant with project specifications, authority requirements, and construction timelines. The Technical Manager is responsible for delivering coordinated, buildable, and cost-effective technical solutions across all project phases

Responsibilities:

Technical & Engineering Management

• Lead the technical department for all fit-out projects (commercial, residential, retail, interior joinery).
• Review, approve, and manage shop drawings, GFC drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure design intent is translated into practical and buildable construction details.
• Resolve technical issues arising on site and provide timely engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with design consultants, clients, and site teams to ensure technical alignment.

Design Coordination

• Manage coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, and interior fit-out elements.
• Ensure clash-free and fully coordinated drawings before site execution.
• Review material submittals, samples, and technical data sheets.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and contract requirements.

Project Support & Site Coordination

• Provide technical support to Project Managers and Site Engineers.
• Conduct site visits to verify installation works and resolve technical discrepancies.
• Support procurement with technical evaluations and material equivalency assessments.
• Ensure proper implementation of approved drawings on site.

Document & Change Control

• Oversee technical submittals, RFIs, and variation requests.
• Ensure proper revision control of all technical documents.
• Evaluate design changes and assess cost/time impact in coordination with commercial team.

Team Management

• Lead and mentor engineers, draftsmen, and technical coordinators.
• Assign tasks, review outputs, and ensure timely delivery of engineering documents.
• Provide training and technical guidance to team members.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure all technical deliverables comply with ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, authority regulations, and industry standards.
• Support internal and external audits with required technical documentation.
