Key Responsibilities
- Teach Arabic A to middle school students using well‑planned, engaging, and curriculum‑aligned lessons.
- Support Arabic language development across reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
- Apply strong subject knowledge to deliver accurate and meaningful Arabic language instruction.
- Plan differentiated lessons that support students with different abilities, learning styles, and language development needs.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, confidence, curiosity, respect, and independent learning.
- Assess, record, and report student progress using clear learning evidence, feedback, and assessment data.
- Use assessment outcomes to adapt teaching strategies and support individual student improvement.
- Integrate IT tools and digital learning resources to enhance classroom engagement and lesson delivery.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders to support academic and personal development.
- Contribute to extra‑curricular activities, school events, cultural initiatives, and wider community life.
- Promote student wellbeing, positive behaviour, inclusion, and high standards of classroom conduct.
- Maintain accurate lesson planning, progress records, teaching resources, and communication in line with school expectations.
- Support students preparing for future GCSE, A Level, BTEC, or relevant academic pathways where Arabic language skills are required.
- Follow GEMS Education policies, safeguarding standards, school procedures, and professional codes of conduct at all times.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor of Arabic Language and Literature or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Recognised teacher qualifying certification.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at primary or secondary level.
- Experience teaching Arabic A in a school environment is highly desirable.
- International school teaching experience in Dubai is desirable.
- Excellent written and spoken English, equivalent to IELTS 6 or above.
- Strong Arabic language and literature subject knowledge.
- Skilled teacher with a clear commitment to teaching, learning, and continuous professional development.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach inside and outside the classroom.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
- Strong IT and interpersonal skills to support modern teaching practice and effective parent communication.

- A UK‑enhanced DBS or equivalent police clearance is required for appointment.
