Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Tax Controls, Risk & Reporting Analyst to strengthen tax controls, improve reporting quality, and manage tax risks across multiple entities from Dubai. The role suits someone with tax, audit and finance experience who enjoys data, controls and process improvement.

You will review tax computations, produce dashboards and support provisioning, with exposure to VAT and corporate tax matters across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Audit, Risk Management or related discipline.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience within tax, audit, accounting, risk or financial reporting.
• Big 4 or larger international accounting firm experience preferred.
• Exposure to tax compliance, tax accounting, VAT, corporate tax or withholding tax.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with dashboards, reporting tools and ERP systems advantageous.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA/ACCA/CPA or progress towards one advantageous.
• Confident communicator with ability to challenge data and present findings clearly

Responsibilities

• Review tax calculations, tax returns, reconciliations and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform independent control reviews across tax processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Assess the quality and completeness of tax records and compliance evidence.
• Monitor remediation plans and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain the group's tax risk register with ownership and mitigation plans.
• Consolidate risk information from regional teams and external advisors.
• Track emerging tax legislation, audit developments and exposures.
• Prepare risk summaries and management reports for senior finance leadership.
• Develop tax dashboards covering compliance, audits, risks and KPIs.
• Review VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax and tax accounting balances.
• Work with accounting and finance teams to improve tax data quality and reporting processes.
• Support tax provisioning activities and reporting of material tax exposures.
• Coordinate information requests for external auditors and tax authorities.
• Monitor audit action points and follow up on outstanding items.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
• Maintain records relating to intercompany transactions and agreements.
• Support tax technology initiatives and process improvement projects.
• Identify control gaps and opportunities to strengthen governance and compliance.
