Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a qualified accountant to manage daily transactions, prepare financial statements, and support closing processes in Dubai. The role emphasizes UAE regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and close collaboration with auditors and stakeholders.

The candidate should have 2–4 years of UAE accounting experience, strong English, and proficiency in ERP/accounting systems like Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, or SAP. Arabic skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Arabic communication skills will be an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, invoicing, AP/AR, General Ledger, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, accounting records, and management reports.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and employee expense reports.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and ensure timely follow-up and settlement.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure accounting records and transactions comply with UAE laws, regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial records and supporting documents.
• Analyze financial data and provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of financial information.
• Coordinate with internal departments, clients, vendors, and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
