Job summary

Yello is seeking a senior tax, risk and compliance professional to strengthen our governance and reporting capabilities across regional finance teams in the UAE. You will review tax calculations, assess controls and maintain risk documentation to support accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Audit, Risk Management or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience within tax, audit, accounting, risk or financial reporting.
• Big 4 or larger international accounting firm experience is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to tax compliance, tax accounting, VAT, corporate tax or withholding tax.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with dashboards, reporting tools and ERP systems is advantageous.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or progress towards one are advantageous.
• Confident communicator with the ability to challenge data, identify issues and present findings clearly

Responsibilities

• Review tax calculations, tax returns, reconciliations and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform independent control reviews across tax processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Assess the quality, completeness and consistency of tax records and compliance evidence.
• Monitor and track remediation plans, ensuring agreed corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain and update the group's tax risk register, documenting risks, mitigation plans and ownership.
• Consolidate risk information from regional teams, finance stakeholders and external advisors.
• Track emerging tax legislation, compliance issues, audit developments and potential exposures.
• Prepare risk summaries and management reports for senior finance leadership.
• Develop and maintain tax dashboards covering compliance status, audits, risks and key performance indicators.
• Review VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax and tax accounting balances and reconciliations.
• Work closely with accounting and finance teams to improve tax data quality and reporting processes.
• Support tax provisioning activities and reporting of material tax exposures.
• Coordinate information requests and documentation for external auditors, internal auditors and tax authorities.
• Monitor audit action points and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation, monitoring and compliance activities.
• Maintain records relating to intercompany transactions and supporting agreements.
• Support tax technology initiatives, reporting enhancements and process improvement projects.
• Identify control gaps, recurring issues and opportunities to strengthen governance and compliance frameworks.
