Aloft Hotels in Al Ain is seeking a full-time, non-management Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. The successful candidate will prepare meals, regulate oven temperatures, thaw items as needed, and ensure proper portioning, presentation, and garnish according to recipes and quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining food logs, communicating specials, and assisting in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer and thaw in the refrigerator; ensure proper portion, arrangement, and garnish.
• Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials; inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Follow all safety and security policies; report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions; maintain professional appearance.
