Job description

Business travel is challenging; we make it simple. We’re a global tech scale-up changing how organizations experience travel. One platform for bookings, expenses, travel policies, approvals, and insights with seamless integration into HR and Finance systems. Tumodo is growing fast by solving what slows teams down - travel friction.

About the Role

As a Supplier Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for analysing, managing, and optimising supplier revenue and margins across our travel business. You will develop data-driven pricing strategies, identify revenue opportunities, and support commercial decisions through financial analysis, forecasting, and business cases. Working closely with Supplier Management, Finance, Operations, and BI/Data teams, you will provide financial insights to support supplier negotiations, improve profitability, and contribute to Tumodo's continued growth.

Your Responsibilities
  • Monitor revenue performance by supplier, product, region, and client segment, sharing responsibility for supplier revenue targets with the Head of Department.
  • Set and adjust markups, commissions, and pricing rules.
  • Manage supplier prioritisation and display ranking within the booking flow, balancing margins, customer pricing, content availability, and service quality.
  • Incorporate operational metrics, including failure rates, response times, and SLA performance, into pricing and supplier ranking decisions.
  • Measure the financial impact of pricing and supplier ranking adjustments.
  • Analyse supplier costs across distribution channels, including direct connections, GDS, NDC, aggregators, and other third-party providers.
  • Establish visibility into costs, revenue, contribution, and margins at both supplier and transaction levels.
  • Evaluate supplier fees, distribution costs, payment costs, and other factors affecting transaction profitability.
  • Benchmark alternative content sources and assess the financial impact of direct versus third-party distribution models.
  • Develop cost and profitability scenarios to support Supplier Management in negotiations and sourcing decisions.
  • Own the supplier revenue performance framework across all travel categories.
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of revenue streams, including commissions, overrides, incentives, kickbacks, net fares, markups, and other commercial income.
  • Monitor contracted versus realised supplier revenue, identify revenue leakage, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Track incentive thresholds to identify risks and revenue opportunities before targets are missed.
  • Develop forecasting models for major supplier agreements and scalable approaches for smaller supplier relationships.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual supplier revenue forecasts, including actuals versus forecast, budget, and prior-year comparisons.
  • Provide revenue outlooks and financial risk assessments to senior management.
  • Model financial scenarios to evaluate new agreements and support commercial negotiations.
Performance Management & Analytics
  • Own the commercial metrics of the shared supplier scorecard, including revenue, margin, and yield, while Supplier Operations remains responsible for operational reliability.
  • Analyse key performance indicators such as booking volume, Gross Booking Value (GBV), revenue, revenue per transaction, margins, and supplier mix.
  • Monitor profitability by supplier, product, market, and distribution channel, identifying underperforming agreements and recommending improvements.
  • Develop dashboards and management reports in collaboration with BI/Data teams.
  • Monitor and forecast GBV by travel category, market, supplier, and content source, translating booking volumes into revenue expectations.
  • Assess the financial value and feasibility of reaching additional incentive tiers.
  • Model supplier steering scenarios, balancing profitability with customer pricing, content, service quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Analyse supplier revenue yield (supplier revenue as a percentage of GBV) and identify additional monetisation opportunities.
  • Evaluate the profitability and ROI of supplier-funded marketing initiatives and preferred placements in collaboration with Supplier Management and Marketing.
  • Assess net fares, upselling opportunities, commissions, back-end incentives, and preferred supplier programmes.
  • Develop business cases for renegotiating or replacing underperforming agreements and evaluate the financial impact of distribution changes, including NDC.
  • Measure the financial impact of implemented commercial initiatives.
Finance & Revenue Assurance
  • Collaborate with Finance on supplier revenue accruals, invoicing, and receivables.
  • Reconcile expected supplier revenue against payments received, ensuring commissions and incentives are collected accurately and on time.
  • Investigate commercial and contractual discrepancies, including commission or incentive shortfalls, and coordinate resolutions with Supplier Management.
  • Support Finance with reliable revenue forecasts and accrual calculations.
Commercial Negotiation Support
  • Provide financial targets, ROI analyses, and scenario models covering commissions, incentives, net rates, and booking volumes to support supplier negotiations.
  • Define commercially viable negotiation targets and thresholds based on expected financial impact.
  • Evaluate the realised financial impact of renegotiated supplier agreements.
Your Profile
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, Commercial Finance, or a comparable commercial function.
  • Strong experience in the travel industry, particularly within corporate travel and Travel Management Companies (TMCs).
  • In-depth knowledge of travel distribution models, particularly GDS and NDC.
  • Proven experience analysing and optimising revenue, cost structures, margins, and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of commercial revenue models, including commissions, markups, and incentive structures.
  • Experience developing forecasts, financial models, and business cases to support commercial decisions.
  • Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical capabilities, and experience with reporting and data analysis.
  • A structured, independent, and data-driven approach, combined with strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with API-based distribution and API integrations within the travel industry.
  • Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
