Target Engineering Construction Co LLC in the UAE seeks an experienced Civil Supervisor to lead on-site civil works for Oil & Gas EPC mega projects. You will supervise concrete, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing tasks, ensuring alignment with drawings and schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, safety, and coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and QA/QC, delivering quality outcomes while maintaining daily progress and reporting.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of civil construction experience in Oil and Gas EPC projects.
• 2-3 years in supervisory role leading construction teams.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction activities on site (concrete, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, finishing, installations).
• Ensure activities align with drawings, specs, and approved methods.
• Monitor manpower, equipment and materials to meet daily targets.
• Inspect works for quality, safety, and compliance; report issues.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, QA/QC, planning, procurement, stores, and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily reports and project progress; prepare NCRs and corrective actions.

Job description

Are you an experienced Civil Construction Professional with a strong background in Oil & Gas EPC projects? We are looking for a dynamic Supervisor (Civil) to join our project team and play a key role in delivering world-class industrial and energy infrastructure projects.

YOUR ROLE

The Supervisor – Civil is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of civil construction activities on site. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.

This role requires close coordination with project teams, subcontractors, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless site operations and successful project delivery.

Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise daily civil construction activities including: Concrete works, Formwork, Reinforcement works, Masonry, Finishing works, Site installations.
• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and approved methodologies.
• Monitor and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to achieve daily work targets.
• Inspect ongoing works to ensure quality, safety, and compliance requirements are met.
• Report progress, site issues, and deviations to the Superintendent/Senior Engineer.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce project HSE policies and procedures across the worksite.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective or preventive measures.
• Foster a strong safety culture among employees and subcontractors.

Quality Assurance & Control

• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with QA/QC teams.
• Identify and rectify defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
• Support NCR documentation and corrective action implementation.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Planning, Procurement, and Stores teams.
• Supervise subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Participate in client and consultant inspections.
• Communicate site challenges, resource requirements, and progress updates effectively.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate daily reports covering manpower, equipment utilization, and construction activities.
• Record inspection results, NCRs, and corrective actions.
• Contribute to weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Ensure documentation is maintained for audits and project controls.

Resource Management & Problem Solving

• Monitor workforce productivity and equipment efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks affecting project performance and implement solutions.
• Proactively resolve site-related technical and operational issues.
• Escalate significant risks related to safety, quality, schedule, or resources when required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in civil construction in Oil and Gas, EPC projects, Industrial facilities, infrastructure projects.
• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role leading construction teams.

Education and Certifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site execution practices.
• Excellent understanding of HSE and quality requirements within EPC environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, workforce productivity, and project delivery requirements.
