Job summary

Stantec in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to monitor and inspect structural works and review contractor submissions. You will maintain non-conformance records, track field variations, and monitor safety compliance on site.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, 5 years of experience (2 years in the Middle East), and strong English communication skills. Local authority knowledge and a proactive safety mindset are essential.

• Review shop drawings, inspection requests, and method statements from the contractor.
• Maintain a non-conformance register and oversee remedial work by Contractors.
• Monitor field variations and inform Senior Resident Engineer of changes.
• Record documentation of all work, tests, inspections, safety, and site activities.
• Ensure Contractor compliance with Safety Program and applicable safety regulations.

• Review shop drawings, inspection requests, method statements, and other submissions from contractor.
• Maintain a non-conformance register and ensure Contractors perform remedial preventive and corrective works.
• Monitor field variations and keep the Senior Resident Engineer informed of these changes.
• Monitor records documentation of all work done, including records of change works, tests, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, materials and equipment onsite, labors, day-works, etc.
• Monitor Contractor compliance with Safety Program and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
