Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Dubai is seeking a Senior Inspector in Civil Engineering to work on stormwater, drainage, and water networks, with supervision of pipelines and rising mains. The role involves site investigations, inspections and ensuring quality workmanship.

You will collaborate with engineers, perform basic design calculations, conduct feasibility studies, coordinate with remote teams, and maintain strong client relations while adhering to safety and project procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a Diploma/Degree in Civil.
• 7+ years of experience in the construction and supervision of sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, and miscellaneous works.
• Strong team working capabilities and ability to coordinate with management on a daily basis.
• Preferably with experience in UAE.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and contractor staff to verify project requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and site records.
• Perform civil and structural tests.
• Provide general inspection of all construction labor and subcontracted work to ensure professional workmanship.
• Identify non-conforming works, generate reports and corrective actions and coordinate responses.
• Liaise with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks and projects.
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
• Assist the Assistant Resident Engineer as requested.

Description:

The role involves working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, pipelines valves Rising main construction supervision & monitoring of design and infrastructure work.

Technical Delivery:

• Interacting with clients and contractor's staff to determine and verify project requirements.
• Preparing inspection reports and site records.
• Performing civil and structural tests.
• Providing general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
• Identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions and coordinating responses.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Diploma/Degree in Civil
• The Inspector must have relevant technical qualifications and over seven (7) years of experience in the construction and supervision of sewerage, stormwater, Irrigation, and miscellaneous works.
• Strong team working capabilities. Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
• A proactive approach, working effectively in co-ordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters.
• Preferably with experience in UAE
