Bridge inspection requires careful evaluation of existing conditions and close surveillance of rehabilitation activities. The Structural Inspector will help confirm that site conditions are compatible with the approved design and that contractors execute each stage in accordance with accepted methods, codes, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Candidates may qualify through one of two educational and experience routes. Applicants with a recognized bachelor 's degree in civil or structural engineering should possess at least three years of experience in bridge inspection and rehabilitation. Those holding an associate diploma in civil or structural engineering require a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Previous project involvement in Dubai, elsewhere in the United Arab Emirates, or the wider Gulf region is preferred. Experience working for an engineering consultancy will be beneficial. Approval from relevant UAE clients or authorities will provide an additional advantage. Candidates must communicate clearly in English and demonstrate a consistent commitment to safe construction practices.
