Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Structural Inspector (Bridge) to join our team in Dubai. You will conduct ongoing inspections to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications, and provide practical guidance on construction matters.

You will also oversee temporary works and maintain thorough inspection records. Applicants should have a Bachelor or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering with 5+ years (degree) or 7+ years (diploma) of bridge construction inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in civil/structural engineering as required.
• Minimum 5 years (degree holder) or 7 years (diploma holder) of bridge construction inspection experience.
• Experience with MS Office, Maximo, Aconex, AutoCAD (read-only).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspects site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed permanent works.
• Give practical advice on constructional matters.
• Inspect construction, including temporary works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
• Maintain records of inspections, work executed, etc.
• Direct Inspectors and ensure performance.
• Assist in or measure work done when required.
• Observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in preparation of "as-built" drawings.
• Assist with inspection of completed works, prepare sang lists and handover to operating authority.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Inspector (Bridge) to join our team. In this role you will perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspects site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed permanent works.
• Give practical advise on constructional matters.
• Inspect construction, including temporary works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
• Maintain records of inspections, work executed, etc.
• Direct Inspectors and ensure performance.
• Assist in or measure work done when required.
• Observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in preparation of "as-built" drawings.
• Assist with inspection of completed works, prepare sang lists and handover to operating authority.

Required Skills

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years (Degree holder) or 7 years (Diploma holder) of construction experience in inspection and rehabilitation of bridges
• Knowledge and experience using computer software such as MS Office, Maximo, Aconex and AutoCAD (Read only).
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Desired Skills

• Relative project work experience in Dubai, UAE, or GCC in an engineering consulting firm is preferred.
• Approval from clients and authorities in UAE will be added advantage.
