Job summary

Memco Steel & Pole Manufacturing LLC is seeking an experienced Street Lighting Engineer to manage street lighting and infrastructure projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will oversee design review, installation supervision, testing & commissioning, and maintenance coordination while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

You will be responsible for supervising installation of lighting poles and ensuring project specifications are met, thus requiring a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in street lighting, road lighting, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in UAE infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of street lighting systems, LV networks, and electrical infrastructure.

Job Summary

MEMCO is seeking an experienced Street Lighting Engineer to manage street lighting and infrastructure projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for design review, installation supervision, testing & commissioning, maintenance coordination, authority approvals and project execution while ensuring compliance with project specifications, UAE regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage street lighting installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities.
• Supervise installation of lighting poles, foundations, feeder pillars, cabling and control systems.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, DEWA, RTA, Municipality and utility requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
• Prepare inspection requests, testing reports and as-built documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and lighting system issues.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, materials and subcontractor performance.
• Support LED retrofit projects and smart lighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company procedures.
• Attend client and consultant meetings and provide technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in street lighting, road lighting, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in UAE infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of street lighting systems, LV networks, and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with testing and commissioning of street lighting systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, and Microsoft Office.
• UAE Driving License preferred.
