Job summary

DSV in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth within the logistics sector. You will lead the sales cycle from initial contact to closing, aligning with finance and operations to ensure compliant documentation and smooth onboarding.

This role requires strong market insight, excellent negotiation skills and a track record of achieving revenue targets. With at least five years in senior sales or business development in logistics, you will help shape the sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree; a Master degree is also preferable
• 5 years of senior sales/business development experience in logistics industry

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and implementation of the Sales Plan to support the Sales and Marketing strategy.
• Establish sales policies, procedures, selling and reporting guidelines to support the sales team in achieving objectives, growing market share and revenues.
• Manage the sales cycle from contact to post-closing, ensuring customer requirements are understood and met.
• Coordinate with finance to ensure customer documentation is in place.
• Deliver revenue and KPI targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and support the team in achieving their KPIs.
• Engage with Operations to ensure contractual requirements are understood and smooth onboarding and execution occur.
• Provide weekly/monthly reports, market intelligence and recommendations to increase revenue.
• Review progress against revenue targets and propose adjustments to plans and budgets as needed.
• Coach and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and strengthen brand equity.
• Monitor competitor initiatives and take actions to defend and grow the company position.
• Collaborate with internal departments to communicate client needs and achieve positive results.
