Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Material Inspector to join the site supervision team on Sewage Treatment Plant projects. You will supervise material conformity, inspect site conditions, review submittals, and ensure QA/QC adherence and safe operations.

With a relevant technical diploma and 7+ years in material inspection or lab testing, you will coordinate with contractors, document results, and help with testing, commissioning, and handover of STP systems. This is a full-time on-site role in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in material inspection and lab testing.
• Experience in STP or water/wastewater projects.
• Familiarity with international and local material standards (BS, ASTM, Dubai Municipality).

Responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions prior to construction and verify compatibility with designed permanent works for STP infrastructure.
• Review delivered materials for conformance to submittals, samples and specs; report discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage/handling of critical STP components to prevent damage or contamination.
• Maintain daily logs, test results and progress per procedures; monitor safety and reporting hazards.
• Assist in handover activities and support testing/commissioning of STP systems.
• Review RFIs and material-related variance requests with technical input.
