Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience managing supermarket, hypermarket, grocery, convenience store, or retail branch operations.
• Strong understanding of sales, profitability, margins, operating expenses and store performance indicators.
• Experience leading department heads, supervisors, cashiers, replenishment employees and other retail teams.
• Familiarity with hygiene, food safety, occupational safety, security and asset maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement supermarket strategies, operating policies and store plans in alignment with objectives.
• Coordinate with Head Office, merchandising teams and operational stakeholders.
• Manage daily supermarket activities including opening, trading, replenishment, service and closing procedures.
• Analyze turnover, profit, gross margin, transactions and labour costs to optimize performance.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve productivity and protect margins.
• Ensure stock availability across core, seasonal and promo ranges and maintain displays.
