Job summary

Aloft in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Steward to direct and assist the kitchen Stewarding team, ensuring efficient cleanup and proper handling of all dishes and equipment. You will help maintain safe chemical levels, assist with banquet plate-ups, and support cooks and kitchen staff to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist Stewards to improve cleanup efficiency.
• Maintain appropriate water temperature and chemical levels; document accordingly.
• Assist with banquet plate-ups and transport supplies to banquets and buffets.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff and return cleaned items to proper locations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machine and stations.
• Ensure uniform cleanliness, professionalism, and confidentiality of company information.
• Provide guests with courteous service and anticipate needs.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
