Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2–5 years of management experience in an accredited restaurant or hotel.
• 1–2 years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensures hygienically clean working areas and that supplies are on hand with proper control.
• Conducts monthly inventory of operating equipment in all outlets to control breakage & losses.
• Initiates requisition for cleaning materials to the minimum to prevent wastage & misuse.
• Schedules daily, weekly, & periodic cleaning of food production outlets and equipment.
• Ensures proper hygiene & sanitation in all areas including the staff cafeteria.
• Monitors the consumption of chemicals in all machines & wash-up areas.
• Adheres to the company policies on fire, hygiene and safety.
• Maintains a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Evaluates the performance of stewarding personnel based on quality.
• Controls the release of equipment to banquet for outside catering.
• Oversees maintenance of all dish washing machines in his areas.
• Sets auditing & inspection schedules of F&B areas & coordinates with Engineering for maintenance.
• Communicates effectively with guests, superiors, business partners and staff.
• Participates in community projects to promote the hotel’s image.
• Acts as a good salesperson to promote hotel’s image and business.
• Participates in Municipality Food Hygiene meetings, Assured Safe Catering Program, etc.
• Exercises administrative supervision over stewarding personnel including requisition, promotion, discipline, training, rosters, and overtime.
