Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking a hands-on Substation Technician to maintain, monitor, and test 400/132kV equipment. You will operate SF6 gas handling and oil filtration machinery and interpret electrical drawings to energize or de-energize systems under permit-to-work protocols.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical and at least 6 years of relevant experience, with strong technical English communication for field and site coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma with min. 6 yrs of experience in electrical/substation work.
• Hands-on maintenance and testing of 400/132kV transmission substation equipment.
• Experience with SF6 gas handling and oil filtration equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and perform energization/de-energization with permit-to-work protocols.
• Strong technical English communication skills.

Job description

Hands on experience on maintenance, condition monitoring and testing of 400/132kV transmission substation equipment such as Gas Insulated Switchgears, Power Transformers, Shunt Reactors and associated auxiliaries.

Experience in operation of SF6 gas handling machines/Oil filtration machines. Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings with hands-on experience in circuit energization and de-energization procedures, including compliance with permit-to-work protocols.

Demonstrated ability to attend to technical complaints, analyze alarm signals, determine cause, and troubleshoot effectively.

Proficient in technical English communication, both spoken and written.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical) with min. 6 yrs of experience.
