Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Company is seeking a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality control and assurance for MEP projects, ensuring HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems meet project specs and industry standards.

You will review ITPs, manage inspections and tests, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, maintain QA/QC records, raise NCRs, support testing and commissioning, and assist with final handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in MEP project quality control and QA processes.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA standards.
• Strong coordination and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and related standards.

The Mechanical QA/QC Engineer is responsible for overseeing quality control and assurance processes related to mechanical systems in MEP projects. This includes ensuring that HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems are installed as per project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

• Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and material submittals for mechanical systems.
• Perform inspections and tests on HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting installations.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other relevant standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test certificates, and as-built records.
• Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion of quality inspections and tests.
• Support testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Assist in preparing final project handover documentation.
