Job summary

Brainstorm Headhunting Specialist in Dubai seeks a Senior Quality Engineer – Mechanical to manage QA/QC for mechanical MEP works on construction projects. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems, with oversight of ITPs, method statements, MRIs and handover dossiers.

The candidate should have a mechanical engineering degree and 8–12+ years of QA/QC experience, preferably with an MEP contractor or construction company in the UAE/GCC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12+ years of QA/QC experience, preferably in UAE/GCC.
• Strong experience with an MEP contractor or construction company.
• QA/QC experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage and Firefighting systems.
• Knowledge of ITPs, Method Statements, MIRs, WIRs/IRs, NCRs and CAPA.
• Knowledge of MEP codes, standards and project specs.
• Experience coordinating with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals.
• Strong communication, documentation, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor QA/QC activities for mechanical MEP works.
• Conduct inspections of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installations.
• Review and implement ITPs, Method Statements, Material Submittals, and Quality Procedures.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate MIRs, WIRs/IRs, and inspection documentation.
• Ensure mechanical works comply with drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
• Identify quality issues and manage NCRs, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Conduct material receiving inspections and verify the use of approved materials.
• Monitor quality requirements during testing & commissioning, pressure testing, flushing, and system inspections.
• Conduct internal quality audits and site quality inspections.
• Manage snagging, de-snags, and final handover inspections.
• Maintain complete QA/QC records and support preparation of handover dossiers.
