Job summary

Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Company is seeking a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality control and assurance for MEP projects, ensuring HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems meet project specs and industry standards.

You will review ITPs, manage inspections and tests, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, maintain QA/QC records, raise NCRs, support testing and commissioning, and assist with final handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in MEP project quality control and QA processes.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA standards.
• Strong coordination and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve ITPs and material submittals for mechanical systems.
• Perform inspections and tests on HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and related standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality matters.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports and test certificates.
• Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs, and track corrective actions.
• Monitor work progress to ensure timely quality inspections and tests.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
