Larsen & Toubro in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior HSE lead for our power/desalination and O&G construction projects. You will align HSSE goals with stringent regulatory requirements, oversee compliance, and drive risk mitigation across sites.

You will lead incident investigations, develop training programs, and foster a strong safety culture while coordinating with authorities and contractors. GCC experience and a NEBOSH diploma are highly valued.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or Occupational Health & Safety.
• NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent certification.
• At least 10 years of experience in power/desalination plants or O&G construction, GCC experience preferred.
• PV project experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Align HSSE goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure adherence to safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are applied to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project.
• Establish emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents; conduct drills and audits.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment of HSSE goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure project adherence to all safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are applied to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project.
• Establish emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents.
• Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency response measures. Conduct regular site inspections andaudits to verify compliance with safety procedures and regulations.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degreein a technical field or Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and/or nationally recognized certification
• ≥ 10 years in power/desalination plant, O&G construction
• GCC experience is required.
• Preferable to have PV project experience
