Job summary

PeopleStrong in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior HSE Manager to align HSSE goals with project objectives and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

You will lead investigations, develop risk mitigation strategies, deliver HSE training, and oversee emergency response planning, drills, and site audits. GCC exposure and PV project experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and/or nationally recognized certification.
• GCC experience is required.
• PV project experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Align HSSE goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are applied to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project; establish emergency response plans and procedures.

Job description

• Ensure alignment of HSSE goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure project adherence to all safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are applied to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project. Establish emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents.
• Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency response measures. Conduct regular site inspections andaudits to verify compliance with safety procedures and regulations.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degreein a technical field or Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and/or nationally recognized certification
• ≥ 10 years in power/desalination plant, O&G construction
• GCC experience is required.
• Preferable to have PV project experience
