Job summary

Enova by Veolia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead operation and maintenance of chilled water systems at client sites in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, safety and efficiency of chillers, AHUs, FCUs and pumps through inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with 6–8 years of maintenance experience, excellent English communication, and the ability to manage supervisors and technicians

• Coordination and numerical skills; ability to follow SOPs/work instructions.
• Understanding and applying health & safety standards in maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot chillers, chilled water systems, AHUs, FCUs, DX units, pumps and ventilation.
• Perform first-level maintenance, installations, repairs and improvements on site equipment.
• Prepare technical, incident, summer/winter readiness reports and other required documentation.
• Lead a team of supervisors and technicians to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Ensure activities comply with the client’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policies.
• Maintain proper PPE usage and on-site equipment safety; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Purpose

• To be strong in operation and maintenance of chilled water system including all type of assets, chillers, package units, DX units, Ventilation system, etc.
• To carry out operations & maintenance activities - whether inspections, preventive, corrective or repair works as per the set standards and procedures for the concerned assets within the premises to ensure their timely availability, reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Chillers, Chilled water system, AHUs, FCUs, Package units, Pumps, DX unit, ventilation system, etc.
• First level maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work on Facility and Equipment related work on the site Equipment, Modification, Repair and Improvements.
• Ability to prepare professional technical and incidents reports, summer and winter readiness reports, etc.
• Capability to manage a team of supervisors and technicians.
• Contribute to the Group Leader / Supervisor in the preparation of timely and accurate information to be reported and meet department and clients requirements, policies, and standards.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with the Clients Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policy and procedures on- site.
• Ensure the correct use of appropriate PPE and maintain them in good condition.
• Ensure all equipment used on location is done so correctly and safely.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Qualifications, Experiences, & Skills

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
• 6 to 8 years experience in maintenance work in the relevant field
• Proficiency in English language; coordination skills, numerical skills, understanding and following SOPs/ work instructions, communication skills, knowledge in health & safety standards; job specific skills in the relevant field.
• Willingness to be based either in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
