NMDC Group is seeking a Senior HSE Engineer to guide HSE strategy on EPC and marine construction projects in Abu Dhabi. You will provide HSE guidance to line management, conduct audits, and manage risk assessments to improve safety and environmental performance.

The role involves implementing HSE plans, coordinating training, and leading emergency response activities. Bachelor’s in engineering or related field with NE-BOSH/IOSH/OSHAD is required; ISO 14001/45001 experience preferred.

Qualificações

Job Description / Role:

NMDC Group is looking for a Senior HSE Engineer to join our team. We are seeking talented individuals who are passionate about EPC and marine construction to work on some of the region’s most exciting projects. The role involves providing HSE guidance to line management and assessing site HSE issues, reporting directly to the Project HSE Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and participate in the activities of HSE Engineers
• Conduct project and section/department audits in compliance with HSEMS, EMS, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
• Conduct Behavioural Safety Audits (BSA) and high-profile HSE tours as per HSEMS guidelines
• Implement site/project HSE plans and systems
• Investigate incidents to identify root causes and provide recommendations to develop trend analysis
• Implement fire, safety, and emergency plans for the site/project
• Participate in conducting health and hygiene inspections
• Conduct fire and HSE training if required
• Motivate and develop junior colleagues
• Participate actively in developing and implementing operations’ risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Ensure safety, firefighting, and lifesaving equipment is inspected and maintained
• Make an inventory of all tools and equipment for the site/project
• Play an active and advisory role in the emergency response team on-site/project
• Ensure that emergency drills are conducted
• Review environmental studies for the projects, such as HSEIA, CEMP, EIA, etc.
• Prepare and implement necessary environmental management plans in line with client and NPCC requirements with close coordination with the project management team
• Coordinate and follow up with local authorities on environmental permits
• Verify that established procedures are followed, and all necessary corrective actions concerning nonconformities and deficiencies are completed
• Report Environmental performance to the management at periodic intervals
• Develop & Deliver training/ awareness sessions on relevant environment-related procedures and standards
• Conduct project and section/department audits in compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and legal requirements
• Investigate environmental incidents to identify root causes and provide recommendations to develop analysis
• Play an active and advisory role in the emergency response team for the site/project
• Assess the site HSE issues and report to the Project HSE Manager
• Provide HSE guidance to the Line management on all HSE issues

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Science or equivalent
